it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Are you math-savvy? Were you that way in middle school? Help these young ladies embrace Math!
Teaching math to sixth graders can be a challenge, especially to all girls!
Math gets a bad name, but my mission is for my students to learn to appreciate math.
This school is part of a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in under-served communities for success in college and in life.
In this part of Texas, I teach 80 girls who are on the path to college. Ninety percent of them are from low-income households, but they don't let that barrier interfere with their dream. They have curiosity, integrity, self-respect, and a great amount of persistence!
My Project
Our school is just in its second year of being open, so our resources are sparse. Girls are known for being visual and tactile learners, especially with lots of color involved. Their brains respond best to new information when presented in a fun way. These math manipulatives will allow the girls to be hands-on and allow their brains to make connections due to the vivid color as well.
Although your donation may seem minuscule to you, it will have an unbelievable impact on these young ladies' lives.
You have the power to help make the females of the future amazing, well-educated women!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
