My students need ink, paper, camera, and other materials to create a yearbook so they could create a one of a kind documentation of the school year including original artwork.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students don't get many opportunities to be proud of themselves and take ownership of their work. Creating a yearbook filled with their own artwork and original photos would boost their self esteem and help them excel in other aspects of their lives.
My students are part of a special education school.
They have different disabilities ranging from physical and developmental to emotional. They have a lot of spirit and love trying new things. They are K-5 students. They have never worked with printmaking materials and would love the opportunity to try something new.
My Project
My hope is that my students and I can use the ink, paper, camera, and other materials to create a yearbook for our school. We are housed in another school and we don't really participate in their activities. This yearbook would allow the students to take pride in their school and create something original that would represent them. None of the students have ever made a yearbook and would love the opportunity to put together something for their classmates and themselves that show off their strengths and inspire the whole school.
My school does not have a large budget and therefore as the art teacher, I do not get any money for supplies.
I buy everything myself. Getting these materials would allow me the chance to do something that the students will remember for the rest of their lives. They will work together to create a memento that showcases their ideas and creativity in a productive way.
