The Chance to Have our Students' Artistic Voice Heard

My Students

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm to life," Plato. My students have immense artistic and musical skills, however, they have yet to fully add "€œwings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm to life."€

My students are determined and compassionate when it comes to the projects they work on.

When they adopt a project, it becomes their; they own it, they believe in it and they will push themselves to input their best effort. Their constant optimism allows them to start and complete numerous projects successfully, and their final product leaves others astounded and inspired. Our school has approximately 580 girls that represent 66 different cultures, a diverse crowd of students who rival social expectations. My students never let their best work stop them from trying harder and pushing themselves to new levels. My students are blooming pioneers; they always take on the initiative to start new projects that happen to showcase both their own strength and our school, its community and the future of the world. I see these students commence projects with minimal help, and achieve their goals despite overwhelming obstacles. My students understand that everything they do is a representation of our school.

My Project

The Multicultural Club hosts an Eco-Friendly Fashion Show annually, an event that is student driven across all of our school grades. The process behind this event teaches students about ecological issues that affect all humans and how we could impact these in a positive way. My students need 4 microphones, microphone wind screens and a wireless microphone system to showcase their musical abilities at the Eco-Friendly Fashion Show, which will give them the opportunity to feel like a professional singer. Every year we try to incorporate new opportunities to our event to create and nurture different talents. This year we would like to expand the amount of artistic talent we present at our show by welcoming our musically talented students who will add more culture, diversity and creativity to this project. We have amazing voices in our school, but we need the proper equipment to let the singers experience a real audience. While the models showcase their eco-friendly dresses, the singers will be accompanying them with their voices and making this show more special. These kinds of opportunities provide our students with a real life experience. We encourage our students to reach outside of their comfort zones.

The Eco-Friendly Fashion Show is a safe haven for our students to identify, explore and share different skills with one another.

At our school, students should be able to create the best work possible, therefore we would like to create many opportunities for them such as the use of proper equipment. These generous donations would help us as a school, inform and teach our students the importance of creativity and artistic abilities.
