This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! I am teaching wiggly 2nd and 3rd graders at a high-needs urban school.
Our school is a diamond-in-the-rough. We are working hard to boost achievement while teaching many students who have behavioral challenges. They are bright children who need more interesting and active lessons to get and hold their attention.
I would like to use music and educational songs to provide my students with periods of activity throughout the day in order to make learning fun and let them expend some of their energy. I feel this will be the perfect way for students to remember the content as they sing and dance to the songs.
By funding this project, you will provide an opportunity for students to learn in an exciting way while they develop social, motor and cognitive skills. Since they're going to be moving anyway, we might as well learn at the same time! Thank you for considering this proposal.
