This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Technology is a necessity in this day and age.
My school has a high poverty population, with a majority of English language learner students. I teach kindergarten in a dual language English and Spanish school. Our goal is to provide our students with the opportunity to leave middle school bilingual and biliterate in order to participate in a global economy.
We literally do not have one student computer in our classroom. Two computers were declared not reparable last year. I was hoping to have computers replaced in my classroom, but other teachers warned me that computers are not provided in our district. We "do not have a budget for computers". This is not fair for these students. Our students deserve the opportunity to engage with technology and become prepared for their future. Please help us update our classroom and make technology possible for out students who do not have access to computers in their home.
We please need two computers in order to provide our students with the opportunity to interact with computer programs, which allow them to participate in engaging literacy, art, mathematics, science and musical activities. This donation will open a whole new world of technology and provide enrichment opportunities for our students.
Your help will make it possible for my students to be exposed to computers. They will benefit from learning to read and write with another valuable resource, the computer. Right now it is sad when I have bright, capable students who ask what a computer is. I would love to give them the opportunity to explore computers and their related beneficial programs!
