I teach kindergarten in a low income school. I want to give my students every chance to succeed but it takes supplies that I'm not always able to provide.
Working in a school that does not have the funds to provide the supplies that teachers need to provide quality instruction can be difficult at time. My students are always wanting to work with math activities but there are not enough activities to go around. I have my students work in groups and that usually works but I would love to be able to allow them to work independently too.
Math is a very important subject and with kindergrtners they need as many hands on supplies they can get since they learn through play and personal experiences. This also promotes understanding of mathematics and not just memorization.
Your help will ensure that my students are able to learn to love math from an early age.
