My students need a living rock community, turbo snails, marine hermit crabs, crushed coral, a hydrometer, and an aquarium pump for the saltwater tank in our classroom.

My Students
"I want to go to the ocean someday!" Many of my students love Finding Nemo and other movies and stories about ocean creatures, but most have never had the chance to visit in real life.
My students are creative, curious, and excited about science.
They love everything we have in the classroom. They want to experience as much as they can, and I want them to be able to do it as soon as they can instead of waiting until after they are grown. The ocean is too far out of reach for most of my children whose parents work very hard to provide basic necessities for them. The over 250 students who come to my science room each week can't wait to explore and see the world, but for now I need to bring the world to them.
My Project
The saltwater aquarium in the science room is a highlight for the students at the school. Even the children who are not taught in the room know of the starfish, crabs, urchins, and anemones that reside in the aquarium. To continue this love of the ocean, we need more live rock and creatures of the not-so-deep along with some basic equipment to continue keeping the aquarium up and running.
By supporting this project you will bring the ocean to over 250 inner-city children.
You will touch their lives in a way that regular textbook learning cannot. Your donation may inspire these wonderful children to become the marine biologists or deep water explorers of the future.
