A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
How did all of the great scientists discover their greatness? Through experimentation and research. My students need the resources to participate in hands-on discovery of basic science concepts as well as nonfiction reading materials to reinforce their discoveries.
I teach first grade in a rural, Title 1 school.
The students are inquisitive and eager to learn about the world around them. Most of them are from low income families who cannot provide them with the opportunities to truly explore and discover. They lack the background knowledge and experience to solve problems and think scientifically.
My Project
Through hands-on experimentation and exposure to nonfiction reading, my students will be able to explore and discover the wonderful world of science. These activities will build their problem solving skills and will provide the foundation for solid scientific vocabulary and scientific thinking skills.
Help create the Einsteins of tomorrow!
These first graders are ready to discover, invent and explore. They just need the resources and experiences to do so. Your donation towards science materials and nonfiction readers can help make this happen!
