My students live in a smaller community where many families are living paycheck to paycheck.
School is the place where they can be encouraged to dream big and set their goals high. Our school is an expedition school where the students are encouraged to question and discover the world around them.
My Project
Imagine harnessing the wind to create energy or building a prototype of a solar home. That is possible with the green energy supplies I have requested. Students will be able to see first hand how they can change the world. The environmental impact kit will give them a scenario to solve in which they investigate a problem, identify the problem and then think of various ways to solve that problem. These skills will benefit my students for years to come.
These supplies are important because without them my students would only hear about the ideas for alternative energy.
These solar and wind energy supplies will let them experience it first hand and possibly inspire one of them to a career in alternative energy, an ever growing field.
