Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am a third year Kindergarten Teacher in NW DC. I have 20 energetic and enthusiastic students. They are with me from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We cover all of the subject areas, but for most of them their favorite part of the day is "choice time". They love going to the Writing Center and the Art Center. However, we are always running out of materials and they are constantly coming up with new ideas. Unfortunately we don't always have the materials available for them to use and explore. I am asking for packages of different types and colors of paper. The students will use these materials to write stories, letters, make art projects, as well as, cards. We will use the clothes line to display their work. Thank you for your consideration.
