These books, and the shelf they will live on, will bring more free literacy into the classroom and will open up doors for any student who turns their pages. This project will allow my students the freedom to read whatever they want instead of having to read outdated novels that they can make no personal relation to. As long a students a reading, they are improving their minds, lives, and futures. It is never too late to develop a love for words and in order to do that I am starting this project to put those words into their hands. The library is not always open or accessible and for some of these kids, it is downright dangerous to be caught in there. With more books available in my classroom, kids can have literacy at their fingertips in a safe, judgment-free environment!
