  • Microscopes for 7th through 11th grades

    Funded Jan 9, 2007

I am so excited to be receiving these microscopes! At the beginning of the year, I tried to do microscope labs with my 10th grade biology class with the 1 decent microscope we have, and they were so frustrated with the small amount of time each student could spend using the microscope. I am excited to share this news with them so that we can go back to some of those labs and they can actually do all the things they wanted to do last time. My seventh and eighth graders will be using them in the next few months, too. These will be appreciated by all my students”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.

  • What Lies Beneath ?

    Funded Jan 9, 2007

Thank you so much for your generous donation. We are so excited about getting our new aquariums and hydroponic materials. The students and I have really missed this part of our plant and animal unit, especially the hydroponic activities. Growing lettuce and tomatoes in water instead of soil is amazing to most kids and their parents. We have several ideas for projects already lined up as soon as we get set up. I have a group of third graders researching fish and plants in preparation for set up.

    Thanks again.

  • NXT is Next

    Funded Dec 7, 2006

Thank you so much for funding this grant. My students will be so excited to hear that we have 2 more of the NXT robots on the way. We have been sharing one NXT robot among all 180 students on a rotational basis. The addition of these robots will allow more students to work with this new robot at a time which will in turn, bring many smiles to their faces since they really enjoy learning this new programming format”

    Funded Sep 18, 2006

    Dear Donors

You can't imagine how excited I am about all the materials that I will get from you. I am sure my students will enjoy working with them and they will learn and have fun at the same time. I really appreciate that you have taken some time to be part of our children's education. I know they will love working with these materials.

    Thanks

  • Who Wants to Have Fun Today?

    Funded Aug 29, 2006

I can already visualize my students sitting at our computer, writing words, and soon writing entire sentences. They will be able to print their compositions and share their work with friends and family. As the year goes by, they each will become more capable of using the technology that is now so important in our lives. Thank you for making this possible for us.

  • Chemicals in the Enviroment Lab Activity

    Funded Jul 13, 2006

I am very excited about receiving this donation.

It is very rewarding for me when I see my students totally engaged by discovering science. This generous gift will enable each of my students to discover science on their own, and come to learn that science is fun. I feel in my heart that this will be a memorable

event. I feel that when my students talk about science when they are older this event will rank above "building the volcano", or "dissecting the frog". Wow! Thank you so much”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. E.

  • It's Alive!

    Funded Jun 28, 2006

I'm so excited about your donations that will provide these wonderful resources to my students! During summer school, we spent quite a bit of time working in the outdoor habitat, and the children love to visit the pond to see what new creatures they can find. I know that having live organisms in the classroom will be a great learning experience for them. Your donation makes that possible. It's summer vacation now, but we'll be back in September and you'll hear from the students themselves.

    Thank you again,

    Susan ”
