Science and Math Stations
Funded Mar 1, 2016Thank you so much for your generosity that helped us to supply our classroom with math and science station supplies. The students are having a wonderful time using the different stations and the additional supplies have also allowed me to create new ones to add to the rotation. Having new and different things to do each week during math and science time keeps students engaged in their learning and makes for a more stimulating learning environment.
Thank you again for all your support! We are so grateful.”

Math & Science Wizards Gearing Up For Learning!
Funded Jul 30, 2014Thank you all so much for your generosity! Every item in this project is being used to the fullest and already our classroom is benefiting from having enough basic supplies to start off with a bang. Science is such a hands-on subject and many of these items allow our class to be able to interact with science concepts rather than just learning about them through text. The kid friendly science books compliment their hands-on learning experience and give our classroom the benefit of a cross-curricular structure.
My students are intrigued by the concept of donating, which I think is another great lesson that comes out of this Donors Choose project. They all love the idea of becoming a donor and want to know more about it so I've taken this as an opportunity to discuss and teach about generosity and and philanthropy. It's been a great experience!
My students and I feel so blessed by your own generosity and support and want to thank you very sincerely.”

Mathematics Whiz Kids!
Funded Mar 11, 2014We are truly blessed to have received such support from each and every one of you that donated! My students were overjoyed when we received our math supplies and we have already begun putting them to good use. It has made our math time extremely productive and enjoyable; we are now able to implement new and effective math stations each week with a variety of supplies and materials available to us. Additionally, the kids have greatly benefited from the use of technology in our math rotation time. All this is thanks to you!
When the materials arrived my students were so excited! One of the first things we got set up in the classroom is the easel. We use the easel every day and my kids continue to comment on how much they like this new easel and how much they enjoy having a donor for our classroom. They continue to wonder about these mysterious donors and often think that they are people who happen to walk past our classroom and see us doing a good job. I tell them that, yes, our donors do think we are doing a great job and that donors are generous people who care about others and want them to do well. Each time it inspires my kids to want to be donors!
My classroom has benefited tremendously from these donations. I am able to create math stations that are varied and can be modified according to my students' needs. I am able to create more fun, hands-on activities and have the materials to make our classroom run more smoothly. For my students in particular, having basic supplies is sometimes a challenge so these donations help us more than you know!
I want to thank you again, from the bottom of my heart! It means so much to us to have your support!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Disney and 14 other donors.Fostering Engagement and Learning in the Science Classroom
Funded Oct 25, 2013My students were so excited to know that we had a generous donor give to our classroom. It created an additional opportunity for me to give them a lesson on what a donor is and how giving to others gives meaning and depth to our lives. They were inspired by the science tools and books that we received and now every time they use something in Science class they ask, "Is this from our donor?".
It's been so exciting to provide them the opportunity to explore our world using hands-on equipment, such as the microscope, magnets, color paddles and circuit system. They have also had a wonderful opportunity to supplement their hands-on experience by reading about their scientific discoveries using the many books that we received. The practical tools such as the sorting circles, large chart paper, highlighters and post-it notes have helped immensely. We use them every single day.
I loved being able to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed, as well as offer them some exciting hands-on learning.
The added bonus of being able to teach them about giving has also inspired my group of students to become givers themselves one day.
We thank you for your generosity!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Seider
