  • Creating Readers Through Current Engaging Diverse Books

    Funded Sep 23, 2022

Thank you so much! You have no idea how excited my fifth graders will be to indulge in and escape into these wonderful current diverse books, in which they can see themselves in! You’re making huge differences in their lives as they become

Eager and excited readers, in their cozy new reading spot!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bratslavskaya

Thank you so much for making this happen!! I can't wait for the fifth graders to spread out around the classroom and find a spot that works for them to do their best thinking and their best work!! These seating options will allow for many more scholars to reach their full potential.”

    With gratitude,

  • A Space for Every Student

    Funded Nov 8, 2015

Thank you so much for your generous donation to the 5th grade students at Lincoln-Eliot! Your gift has provided our classroom with a durable, fire-safe, and comfortable rug. This rug has helped our class establish a sense of comfort and community. Students are eager to come to the rug (our designated "meeting area") for community meetings and whole class lessons throughout the day. It is a favorite spot to work for many of the students as they engage in math games and cozy up with their independent reading books on it.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful gift to our class - we are truly enjoying using it every single day!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bratslavskaya

  • Help Foster a Love of Reading

    Funded Sep 8, 2014

I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for reaching children. In reading, it can be very difficult to excite a student about books, when they struggle getting through each page.

The materials that you have funded will enable students to access many high interest, grade level texts that they see other peers reading. They will be able to delve into books, become the characters, and apply the skills they are learning to their books.

Thank you so much. I can't wait to introduce these materials to the children. ”

    With gratitude,

  • Third Grade Reading Stars

    Funded Sep 11, 2013

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. The books you added to our library are being used daily, as students fight over them, wanting to get their hands on them. They were truly excited and bursting with enthusiasm, and are constantly asking for independent reading time so they can indulge.

With these added books at varied levels more of my students can access the various materials and have more "just right" books to pick from for their daily reading. There is something for everyone, with many high interest series/books to choose from.

There are many studies that prove students learn through reading. With this project, I am able to ensure that all my students are engaged and continuing to read on a daily basis so they can grow as readers and learners. Thank you and happy holidays!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bratslavskaya

  • English Language Learners Seek Basic Classroom Supplies

    Funded Jan 11, 2013

I am truly thankful for your generous donations and contributions to my classroom. As a first year teacher there are so many struggles and battles I am faced with, I can say that not having necessities for my students was not one I had to deal with - thanks to you. With the supplies we received, I was able to set up and organize ELA and Math center charts. I use the magnetic letters as a literacy station for students that need basic letter/sound skills and we use the construction paper and foam sheets for our daily classwork, to add a little excitement and color to our lives and hard work. The paper organizer was a huge help is setting up the classroom and finding a home for all the various content related papers and graphic organizers!

I am so thrilled that there are people like you in the world - kind people who appreciate the hard work that goes into teaching and are willing to help! Many thanks.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bratslavskaya
