Hands-on STEAM Materials in Math!
Funded Dec 8, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donations to my students. Each day is a new adventure in Room 204. My students come from backgrounds where they do not always have the opportunity to be children and play. Your donations have helped us with that. These new STEM materials have allowed us to take 10-20 minutes out of day for my students to be creative and make different items. This allows us time to work on our critical thinking and problem solving skills. My students reactions when first seeing what was in the box was PRICELESS. They are thankful for your generosity.”
With gratitude,

Funded Nov 2, 2016Thank you so much so for your generous donations to help my students. My students love using the iPad everyday to practice math facts or read on apps available like EPIC. We opened the package together and the amazement in their eyes was priceless. In their own words, "thank you to whoever donated so we could get this iPad".
We use the iPad everyday to aid in instruction. My lower students are able to get on and practice their sight words to get that extra support they need at times when I am not available to give it. The students love playing the different math facts game I have downloaded on it. 3rd grade is the year where students learn how to multiply and divide. The iPad has provided a fun way for students to learn those multiplication facts.
The use of the ipad during the day has boosted the learning of my students. Going the iPad workstation is the best part of Guided Reading or Guided Math center rotations. They love practicing math fact and reading skills on the iPad. And boy do they get competitive. The iPad also allowed us to research Social Studies/Science content and create presentations to present to the class. There are so many possibilities and I am forever grateful for everyone who donated to this project.”
